Lotus Chair

I designed a new type of sitting chair with inspiration from organic forms in the natural world. The snaps connects each joint so that the flat felt becomes the lotus shape, embracing the sitting body. The wood spine inside the felt provides the support for laying on the chair. (Prototype)

自然界がもつオーガニックなFormからのインスピレーションをもとに、座椅子の新しい形をデザイン。スナップをあわせる事で、平面のフェルトが蓮の花びらの形となり、身体を優しく包み込む。背骨にあたる部分には丈夫な木材が埋め込まれているため、もたれかかる事もできる。（プロトタイプ）
