Touchy Bumpy

Because of sophisticated computing technology and networking systems, our lives have acquired the beneficial convenience of the human communications. The Internet enabled dialogue that transcends time and space, but we rely heavily on only vision and auditory senses. Are we missing something? Can we use the larger power and energy that our body and its five senses have? Given this challenge, I designed the conceptual Touchy Bumpy Pillow. This device creates bodily touch sense experience through the Internet.

コンピューティングテクノロジーやネットワークが発達したおかげで、人類の生活は主にコミュニケーションにおける利便性を手に入れた。インターネットを通して距離や時間を超えて対話ができるようになったものの、主に僕たちは視覚や聴覚に依存している。何かもの足りないのでは？人間本来がもつ身体と五感いう大きな力をもっと利用できないか？そんな疑問へ回答すべく、一つのコンセプテュアルデザインの例として、インターネットを通して「タッチ（触覚）」の経験を実現するTouchy Bumpyまくらをデザイン。
