Interactive Painting

When you hear the word "Interactive" in this contemporary life, you might think about the experience through the computer or technologies. However, fundamentally "interaction" is to have a result that brings emotion or thoughts by the intervention between human and human or human and object. This Interactive Painting project doesn't use those technologies, but the masking tape. By the participatory of the audiences and their acts of pealing ordinary object "masking tape", the painting process will be completed. At the same time, this project, which lets audiences TOUCH the art piece by their hands, is questioning the notion of "art piece" that supposed to untouchable in the museums or galleries.

「インタラクティブ」と言えば現代に住む僕たちはコンピュータやテクノロジーを用いた経験のことを想像することが多いだろう。しかし本質的には、人が人やモノと遭遇し経験し、その結果なんらかの感情や思考をもたらすものがインタラクション。このインタラクティブペインティングプロジェクトは、そういった特別な技術を使わない。マスキングテープだ。日常どこにでもあるマスキングテープがオーディエンスの「参加」によってが剥がされ、ペインティングの完成へのプロセスが進む。同時にこのプロジェクトは、通常美術館などでは決してさわる事ができない「作品」に生にさわることができるため、「作品」に対する「気付き」を問うものでもある。
